First of all it is an installation problem. Second, it constantly falls apart. Third, this is the price of crap. We sealed the joints with tape and added a few extra supports. This keeps it working. You can just start with that. We've been here for a year now and I don't think it will be long.

This shower rod is very cheap but it got used for the purpose I used it anyway. I haven't used it to surround a bathtub, I've used it to surround a wall mounted gun rack that seems to be attracting dust like never before. I live in a village on a farm and dirt roads, so we see a lot of dust. I placed it so that it hangs from the ceiling and completely covers my gun rack. I know it's weird, but this is where you need to get creative. Hopefully this will reduce dust build up on them. ;-)

I had to adapt mine to fit a smaller bath. With the help of a pipe cutter and a reamer it was easy enough. (I had to shorten the width on mine). I like the description of the unit and it's aluminum so it doesn't rust. BUT! It's very thin because a ceiling rod is terribly not enough! You need at least two poles.
