Good for medieval/fantasy work

I use these on my plate armor to tie the pieces together (like a rondel with a shoulder pad) and it works really well without clashing with the look. Some pieces will taper a bit and may be too loose when you tighten the knot, but there are enough that this isn't a problem. Very handy to have on hand.

Pros
  • Lots of good vibes
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Good leather for a project, good color, texture and versatility

I had two of these leather straps but ended up only needing one so have another for future projects. The first strap I used was to attach a long sword scabbard to a belt using knots found on ancient statues and artwork. This leather was perfect for the task, it's the right thickness, nice dark brown color, I managed to tie a knot and it looks amazing. I wore this sword 4 days in a row and the knots were perfect.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Reliability

Oh that smell!

This product was well packaged, same thickness but color varied throughout the roll and OH the smell is so awful! I took the roll out of the packaging and let it unfold, thinking it would air out in a few hours. Now the room stinks and my head hurts when I work on projects in it. I need to get this reel and one more to the shop and wait a few weeks. I hope this passes because I use leather for jewelry. Oh, by the way, my hand smelled bad after touching it. I had to wash it well with soap.

Pros
  • Leathercraft
Cons
  • Legacy model

stinks and has thin spots can't even be used for shoes

don't buy! Stinks and smells worse than paddy fields in the sun. I lived in Taiwan when I was 12 years old. (I loved the place and the people. I'm grateful to have seen so much of ancient Chinese culture.) Leather was often tanned using human waste. I bought 2 pairs of beautiful embroidered silk shoes. 60 years later the soles still smell. This is different from many plastics, e.g. B. Memory foam. I washed my hands immediately after skin contact but the odor lingered until I used hand…

Don't get fooled like me. But the skin is great.

I needed a leather strap for the handle of my walking stick and it worked. I thought I'd soak the dishes in hot water and didn't even think about the fact that there's no such thing as a three-meter cow. This harness consists of three parts of 1 meter length that are connected to each other. When I pressed hard on the bandage, the joint tore. Totally my fault but with some gorilla wood glue it worked fine. I ended up putting glue on the stick and wrapping the leather around it. Where I…

Pros
  • Crafts and Sewing
Cons
  • Not as thick as the others
