I was able to remove and replace parts without removing the stabilizer. Everything fell into place and I was back in business in less than 20 minutes.

I used this kit to replace Venture components in my saddle chassis (Forest River Cardinal 2008) when a leg stopped lifting the camper. The problem was due to broken teeth on the bottom gear. The installation of these spare parts went smoothly. A Google search for "venture bevel gear" yielded instructions and a drawing on the Stromberg-Carlson website. I have purchased replacement drive and powered bracket kits for the 5th VENTURE chassis. Note that the manufacturer does not put any lube on the outside of the inner leg that runs up and down the outer leg! The internal mount creates metal shavings and puts stress on the motor, bevel gears, bushings, drive screw and the nut that the drive screw goes through!
