👟 Ultimate Performance: New Balance Mens 840V4 Running Shoes Review

I bought these for my son. Unfortunately, we only took them out of the packaging after the 30-day return period had expired. They were clearly used. No tags, laces are untied, sole is not clean. Someone tried them on, walked around the house or slightly on the street and returned them. When you pay $120 for a pair of sneakers, you expect brand new, unworn shoes. Now we're in those shoes and we feel betrayed. I'm very disappointed that Revane is allowing this to happen.

I have been running in NB 840V3 (version 3) shoes for two years. My previous experience with the new version of the shoe, which I like, has been disappointing. Bought for my husband who is as heavy as me. He took out the insole and put in the gel sole, and now He's walking on the cloud! The best sneakers we found for overweight people. I wish they were a little cheaper so we could buy more than one pair at a time but they are definitely worth the money!

After visiting the New Balance store in Philadelphia and getting advice on what shoes to wear, I settled on the 840 series. The last 3 of these were 840v3 so when I saw the 840v4 I knew I had it had to try. Love the updated look and the fit is still okay. Worn them the day after receiving them and had no problems, comfortable shoes for my daily walks. I know these are running shoes but for me this is my everyday shoe, light and comfortable for a long day.

I wear orthotics and bought these shoes on the recommendation of my orthopedist. In general, I really like the series. It fits my orthotics and has one of the biggest toes I've ever seen in a shoe. It's also quite stylish and not very expensive. The only downside is that the soles on the front wear out much quicker than I expected. My last pair only lasted 4 months. I've been running in them since March and have only put about 165 miles in them and the soul in the heel wears out so fast the rubber is gone and it's almost rubbed a hole in the midsole. Now, it should be noted that while I run in heavy heels (and I'm not a tall person), I've never had a shoe wear out over those few miles. These are my 5th generation New Balance running shoes. I weigh 220 pounds and run 10+ miles and these shoes are my brand. They are roomy in a toe box which I like because I have bursitis. I order 1/2 size larger than my dress shoes so my feet can swim. These are great shoes if you wear orthotics as they are neutral.

I've been wearing NB shoes for a long time. My previous shoes, the 840 V3, were discontinued so I went with these. A different fit is evident, oversized in the forefoot compared to the exact same size in the previous shoe.
