The New Balance 840 V4 Men's Shoe is a great shoe that offers cushioning and support. I first bought an NB 880 with foam padding. The 880s were like walking on cloud, which is good, but they offered poor support and my legs tended to wobble back and forth with every step. This led to tension in the legs and feet. So I tried the NB 940 and it offered great support but little cushioning. The NB 840 V4 was a great compromise for me. They offered good cushioning, better than the 940s, but also offered good support, better than the 880s. I've been using them for about 8 months and plan to buy another pair of NB 840s when it's time to replace them.
