Orchids are loving it!

Put it in my orchid pots and they seem to love it! Will definitely be getting more if they keep up the awesome response! Thank you for the awesome product!

A really great Bio Char! Yet inexpensive. This time I got a larger, 8 qt bag. Top notch! A++

A great Bio Char! Well priced, and high quality. Great stuff! After trying some other great Bio Char products, one I loved for it's 1 gallon bags, wasn't available overnight. So I purchased Plantonix, once again, and realized when it arrived it was 8 qts, or 2 gallons, rather than my assumption that it was 4 qts(I guess because of the very similar price.). I had to recheck the listing. Yup, 8 qts, or 2 gallons, lol. And this is great stuff, so I won't forget about "Plantonix", ever again. I use

Amazing size and consistency! Low dust, too!

Great product! There’s way more that it seems - this should last me a while. I’m just adding a handful here and there when planting or side dressing. We’ll see results later in the harvest and possibly next year to see how long it stays in the soil.

Oh, I remember now!

Always forgetting what the type or name of the plants in my gardens! The plastic tags from the nursery May last a year.these are there forever. Just be sure to use a paint marker (you can remove and reuse if needed) or engraving type tool for permanent signage, just like the professional gardens use!

Great soil amendment

It’s a little early to review on the long term benefits of this for soil health. I have read that this increases retention of soil nutrients (Native Americans did this for hundreds of years around the amazon basin). So, in the short term it’s been fine. I bought this for the long term.

READ: YOU MUST “CHARGE” THIS

Did I kill all my plants with this? Yes. Is it their fault? No, they say to add slowly over time so it charges naturally with nutrients and microbes, and I added too much so it sucked all the nutrients out of everything.What should you do with this?Mix it with compost of any kind and let it charge up for like 3 months undisturbed. Or steep it in aerated compost tea for a day or so (just make sure it’s not still floating). Once it’s charged, you can apply it as liberally as you want, even up to…

Small flakes rather than the big chunks

Smaller flakes make it easy to use in regular potting soils or with smaller bark for orchids. I like it a lot and you get a lot in a small package. It's vacuum sealed, so it doesnt take up a lot of room, but goes a long way. I feel it was well worth the price and I will be buying it again and again.What I usually find is bigger chunks that are meant for orchids or maybe something else. Was surprised with the smaller pieces, but feel that is much easier to work into the soil than the larder chunks I’ve used. Very pleased

Great 1/16th - 1/8th in Biochar

This is a great soil amendment for anyone using compost teas. This biochar is quite fine in texture and made from softwoods. I charged mine in compost tea I had already brewed for 24 hours. I simply added the biochar to a plastic tote and added my compost tea and airstone to it. I allowed it to soak for about 24 hours and the biochar had soaked up enough liquid to make it sink. When the biochar no longer floats, you know it's charged. From there I top dressed some of my containers with it and…

Fast Way To Improve Compost

I bought this after reading about biochar’s capabilities to amend soil. I poured a couple handfuls in my compost tumbler, in hopes of improving my compost health. We’ll see how it works out. The bag seems large for the price.
