The shoe itself feels very light which is great for kids. I ordered a size 12 as my son now feels a little tight in a size 11. He is 5 years old. The navy blue was dark and true to the image on the website. The velcro was strong but opened and closed easily. It was easy for my 8 year old to put on and take off these shoes.
