You have to pay for quality (more)

Quality costs a little more. Cheap self-tapping screws pull right out of the threaded aluminum case after installation. Came back for a pod style light.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Other than that they work great

Good components are poorly assembled. After disassembling and sealing, I noticed that the Cree chip was not attached to the heatsink. This would lead to thermal failure. I used hot glue and a small screw. You still need to epoxy the mount to the body, a very loose fit. Otherwise they work great.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Good but not great

Works like an LED lamp.

Put them on my Suzuki Drz400 Dual Sport. Have spotlights. They are small enough for my bike and really light up the area. Along with it received a switch on the steering wheel. I just connected the headlight power cord. With minimal power consumption of the LED, this did not affect the brightness of the high beam. Works well.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Fantastic LEDs at a reasonable price

I ordered these for my wife's G310R and they were fantastic, great quality and fantastic amount of light. Sturdy and looks well built. I liked how bright and visible they are, I've ordered 2 more sets for my other bikes. Can't rate durability yet as they've been installed for about a month. I will update the review in a few months. Fantastic product so far!

Tiny hex head screws used.

The tiny hex head screws that attach the lights to the bracket are too long and won't tighten properly. To fix this you will need to purchase some small washers to act as spacers and allow things to fit properly. Even after that I suggest using epoxy for this joint.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Operating speed

The price reflects the performance.

Factory headlight no longer works on my Nighthawk 85. I added a small 8" light bar to complement the high beam. . They're not great either. You get what you pay for. The bracket that attaches is pretty crappy. I immediately used Loctite. They help the motorcycle appear. When I have the money I will buy some heavy duty motorcycle lights, I know they will make the job easy. But whatever. Every little thing helps. I will come back if they tell me.

Works well as extra backup lights

Bought these lights as extra backup lights for a 2012 Ram truck. The brightness of the light works great with tinted windows as well as the factory rear view camera. When I received my order, one of the bulbs was broken, preventing the mount from fitting fully to the body. The seller helped to source a replacement product which should be arriving shortly. The installation of these lamps is very easy and these lamps consume very little electricity. I would recommend them to others looking for a…

Careful inspection required before shipment

Bought 2 sets. The light has a decent yellow cast, but other than that it's not worth it. The black brackets for attaching to the light are rubbish. Of the 4 brackets, 1 bracket has no hole to attach to a lantern. With the 2nd bracket, the hole for attaching to the silver bracket is too small so that the screw cannot go through. 3 of the 4 brackets should have plenty of play where they slide into the light block. If you like playing around with it, this might not be a problem. But if you wait…

Good inexpensive headlight - ideal for ADV bikes or dual sport bikes

I've done about 5-6 rides with it (one rain/snow). So far, so good. Overall quality seems pretty good, with the exception of the somewhat cheap mount. Brighter than I expected too. I start streams and steer them slightly left and right to light up the roadsides. It makes the eyes of deer and moose light up (big problem here). A set of these lights with an OEM H4 bulb is more than safe in almost any environment. For convenience, this pair is about as bright as a factory H4 OEM bulb. This…
