Works great and exactly as expected! Very important.

At a time when all new MacBooks require adapters and hubs, this little guy stands out. It's very light and compact and allows me to connect two USB2 or USB3 devices while still being able to charge my laptop using only (1) of the four available USB-C ports. I've connected USB hard drives to it by connecting power to an available USB-C port. My laptop charges reliably and the drives load with no issues. I tested transferring large files from my MacBook Pro to both connected USB hard drives. Theโ€ฆ

Outperforms its class

I've had the OWC USB-C Travel Dock for a few weeks now. I wanted to test it before posting my review; and so far I have been very satisfied - especially when compared to similar product offerings I have purchased which appear cheap and lacking in functionality. I used the HMDI pin for the secondary display and it worked asโ€ฆ

I bought this for the SD card slot as I often mail cards. It will keep losing connection with no rhyme or reason during the transfer and you will not be able to reproduce the problem. This is 100% coincidence and not a wiring error. Please note that this will not happen if you are not using the SD card slot. Using it as a USB hub will not disconnect, but if you have external drives connected during a card reset, disconnect the drive if the transfer fails. I wish it wasn't already connected toโ€ฆ

This Dock Rocks!: Computers and Accessories

I've used different USB-C adapters from different manufacturers with mixed results. The first was an Apple branded version similar to this OWC dock and it stopped working after the first use and I had to return and exchange it. I've tried other third-party docks and some of them either didn't work or caused the mouse pointer to behave strangely on my laptop. After trying this OWC dock I was pleased to find that it works exactly as described with no issues. I've been buying OWC products forโ€ฆ
