Good product! - Brackets

This joist hanger is exactly what I expected. It fits a thicker 2x4 cedar railing plank. The material is nice and thick and the mounting holes are perfect for 3/16" Tapcon screws when attaching the bracket to concrete blocks. Very satisfied.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black

Beware of rusty screws

They look great and are pretty easy to fit but after two weeks the screws start to rust! I have 18 of them installed so I will not remove them. Today I bought rust spray and covered it up. Hopefully this will stop the rust but I'm not sure how durable the metal will be for years to come. Very disappointing!

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

I bought some of these locally and they were great - worked great

I bought some of these locally and they were great - worked great. I had already ordered a few from Revain before I knew they were available locally. The ones supplied by Revain were defective. The slots on the left were too tight and I had to hammer the pieces together and they wouldn't slide. I had to go back. It would also be better if they came with hex bolts/screws. I've heard they've upgraded them with torque screws now, but both boxes I received had regular Phillips screws. I bought some
