Works best in a double combination with Murphy's

We found this product to be good for cleaning cabinets on its own, but better when cleaned first with Murphy's Oil Soap and then P&B Cream. This is a great dual cleansing combo. After a final coat of old English wood oil, the 1969 wooden cabinets looked almost new!

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • There are quirks

Also worked on (domestic) painted panels.

I was looking for a product that would clean and polish my painted kitchen cabinets. I read the recommendation in Good Housekeeping and decided to give it a try. The instructions were aimed at natural wood cabinets, but the cream worked great on my painted cabinets, including the wood hood over the stove! Just got a bottle.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Great product, best in the household category

Used on our 13 year old cherry wood cabinets. They were beginning to show signs of wear and the spots near the stove were dirty from cooking. I was very impressed with this product. In those muddy areas I really didn't have to use a notepad like they suggested. But I've learned that if you wipe it off and leave it on for about five minutes, it's easier to remove the dirt. My closets really do look like new again. I can highly recommend the kitchen cabinet cream and will buy it again.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Nothing here

Excellent Kitchen Cabinet Cleaner

This is a very good product that gently removes dirt and grease from wooden kitchen cabinets. Simply apply a small amount to a slightly damp cloth and wipe off. More than one cleaning may be required if there is a large build-up of grease. Then polish with a dry cloth to give the cupboards a soft patina. It smells very little. I have a board that always catches fat around the plate. It took a little more work, but the product did a good job.

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Compatibility

Not for kitchen cupboards

After many years my high quality wood kitchen cabinets have developed sticky spots where people would touch to clean them to open, especially near the stove. Daily cleansers like 409 don't dissolve this slime. I need a product that will remove this slime without damaging the wood surface or using a cleaning pad. This product did not work as advertised. I think this product is suitable for general cleaning and maintenance of wooden dressers, headboards etc. But for some serious kitchen cleaning?

Pros
  • Gently cleans dirt and grease from kitchen cupboards made of wood; Simply apply a small amount to a damp cloth and clean, heavy build up of grease may require more than one cleaning
Cons
  • I'll write later

Greasy, fluffy kitchen cabinets are GONE!

We have lived in our home for over 10 years. We also have cats. We cook a lot at home. I've tried cleaning out our closets with Bail, Windex, Dawn, Comet, etc for the last 10 years. Following directions, I applied a dime-sized amount to a damp cotton dish towel and in less than a few minutes I had brand new, shiny, clean cabinets. Did the whole kitchen in an hour! My closets look like new again! And no foreign smell, does not feel sticky. You need that. I did a test patch beforehand to make…

Pros
  • Cabinet Cleaner and Restorer rejuvenates kitchen cabinets and keeps them looking natural longer
Cons
  • Has been damaged

Great for old cabinets

I usually use old English or similar but cabinets sometimes get sticky on a damp day. I used this with terry cloth rather than microfiber because I didn't have it and it polished my old closets really well! I've been trying to find a product because my cabinets are getting a bit dry and cracking. It works pretty well, surprisingly leaves no marks, adds a nice shine and I barely felt the texture of the wood in the cabinets! BUT the cleaning part is ok, not sure how well it works on greasy…

Pros
  • Apply wood cleaner to surface, rinse and repeat if needed, then buff to natural wood shine
Cons
  • Crumpled
