Enhanced Protection for Pelican 1651: High-Quality 4 Piece Foam Set Review

Good foam but one of the pieces (think the bottom) was the wrong size. If I didn't already have that piece I would give it back to him .Hopefully just an accident.

The two segments of the center pick and pliers fit snugly and work as advertised. The curved top is slightly larger than the original pelican foam. It still fits, but right now it's bending in the middle from the pressure. Not sure if it improves over time. For now I'm keeping the old top. The lower bezel is significantly shorter than the original but I will most likely never see this part as it will be under the washer and pinch section. I would buy this set again, but I'm deducting a star for

- definitely NOT an OEM replacement! The bottom layer is approximately 2 inches shorter than the OEM foam at each narrow end. The lid foam must be trimmed to fit (this lid foam has square corners, the OEM foam has rounded corners to match the radius of the lid cones). The only two components that fit correctly in the Pelican 1650 body are the two "puck-n-pull" center components. This foam is cheaper quality than Pelican OEM foam.
