I had high hopes for this Pendleton duvet as I know the brand very well. Beautiful color blanket. It was pretty hard from the packaging but I thought it would soften after washing. I followed the washing instructions and even dried it outside. When I brought it I put it in the dryer (that's what the washing instructions say) on low heat to soften it up. This is my second review ever. I didn't think it was possible to have a "washable" rug. And yet. It was on my bed for a year and 3 months. washed 4 times. For several days I was looking for a blanket that would warm us in a new place. This blanket is worth the extra cost because it really works. My family lives near the water on the central coast of California, it regularly drops to 30-40 degrees at night, it's a forest so it's cold even during the day.
