This is a very high quality, durable mat. The extra large size covers more of the tub than regular rugs. Strong suction cups keep it securely on the bathtub, even if our bathtub has a slightly textured surface. I bought this rug to replace one that was slippery when wet. The second one I have will wear out over time like any shower mat. Depending on your staff preferences, the first lasted about 5 years with regular cleaning, it eventually started to stretch to the point that I had to cut a small section around the drain. This mat works great, doesn't slip in my old vinyl tub, it's mildew resistant if you clean it regularly, it fits standard sized tubs from the edge of the drain to the back so it's long enough to cover an entire standard tub.

I tried several shower mats to replace my old Rubbermaid shower mat. This rug is not as thick as the previous version and you can feel the bumps created by the suction cups - like walking on pebbles, but not as pronounced as the Kenny rug sold in major department stores. Our previous Walmart bath rug was soft and cushiony, but it was made in a weave pattern with numerous small holes between the woven threads. Very good bath mat. They appear to be the same as the old Rubbermaid which will last a very long time.
