This works great for draining the water off the soap but the soapy water will go through and stick to whatever is under the soap dish making it easier to clean.

I was very satisfied with the quality, colors and price. But for some reason I have found that when used as a hand soap it softens my soap. I also found that there was a lot more soap in it. I also use them in shampoos and conditioner soaps and have found that they don't get as soft as the ones I've used in hand soaps. I am very disappointed in the product. I thought they were softening my soap, not softer.

I have now bought 2 sets of these soap dishes. One for my own home and another set for my mum and aunt. I became a soap snob and specially ordered some great goat milk soap from a small store about 200 miles away. The soap is so wonderful that I tend to savor every precious bar. So the bane of my existence in the shower is figuring out how to handle that little bar of soap that you can still use but it's slipping through my counter. I used a soap dish but then it gets awkward when you don't wash it once a week and the soap tends to stick to it.
