Ideal for excellent quilt storage

I use these large boxes to store my handmade quilts. They are big enough for a king size quilt. They come with acid-free tissue paper for lining between the folds/rolls of quilting, and secure zippers protect the quilts from dust and keep them fresh.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Weak Set

Disappointing - organization, storage and transport

Bought this box for storage and display. A box with slits and fold lines on the lid, not a smooth surface. I have no idea how the conservation aspect will stand up to such gaps. The presentation aspect is very bad. Didn't have time to reorder paper so I used paper from the kit and threw away the box.

  • Always liked

Fold Your Own Pre-Cut Cardboard

For some reason, the "Museum Quality Acid Free Storage Box" description doesn't look like a single piece of cut and scored cardboard that could be folded (if you're repeated can decipher the directions ) in a box. Compared to IKEA's instructions, the instructions seem easy to follow, and the result is a loosely assembled box that's hardly 'museum quality' or 'chest'. I don't know much about the prices of acid-free card stock, but for what it was, the price seemed high. He was brought backโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy Construction
Cons
  • No Machine

Fantastic storage for wedding dresses.

Matched my wedding dress perfectly. After my wedding, my parents took my dress to the dry cleaners and put it in a box for safekeeping. He lived there for 20 years. This summer we were cleaning my parents' house and I had to take him home. Well the original packaging was huge and I was struggling to find a good spot in my house. I ordered this box and it goes perfectly with my veil and easily fits under my bed. I know it will be safe and well protected for any future generation that chooses toโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

HORRIBLE WASTE. NO museum or textile restoration quality. Poor workmanship, dented, bent, flimsy, gaping gaps... and returns are half price. I never do product reviews. I never give bad reviews. This rating is justified. I really feel cheated. I have worked with Smithsonian boxes and other textile storage containers. It's terrible. Does the company survive by scamming brides and other unsuspecting customers who have never dealt with conservation? You can also stay in business because the costโ€ฆ

Pros
  • GOLS certified

  • Only available in black
