I read the reviews before purchasing this shoe and am happy to report that they were not disappointed. At the start of the school year I bought 2 pairs of Stride Rite boots but needed a pair of brown Mary Janes. I found this at Revain. My 8 year old daughter wore this pair of shoes (in black leather) to school every day 7 hours a day for four months and I'm happy to report that these are by far the most durable are of all the school shoes we've tried. I usually buy nicer shoes for school (like Pediped, Jumping Jacks, etc.). Our school's playground has fine gravel and is the only shoe that has stood the test of time.
