They work well but are very tight

They work well but are very tight and require a lot of force to connect and disconnect. It's an issue with the project I'm using them on, but it's not the end of the world.

Pros
  • Build confidence
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Highly recommended accessory

These things are pretty good. They feel well built and have decent wire. The connector is strong, which doesn't make it feel like the connection is loose. I wish there was a little more bare wire because the factory stripping is done well, but for this case it's easy enough to strip a little further.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Zero

Great for adding light strips to shadow boxes

I used these pigtails to power some shadow boxes to add LED strips. Only an 11/64" drill bit was required to drill a hole for the wire. The length of this braid is also great for shaded boxes - leaving just enough length to play where others would struggle to get it out of the box. .

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • boring packaging

Broken/crumpled weak connectors arrived

More than half of the connectors arrived uselessly squashed even though they were in bubble wrap. Barrel connectors must withstand at least one crush resistance. Looks like they went through a hydraulic press. Four out of ten connections were usable. I would like to point out that the packaging did not appear to be damaged.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • -

This is just what I need to turn my battery bin into an emergency. I connected one of them to the battery terminals and found the correct AC-DC power adapter and it works great. You don't need to buy 6D batteries anymore. The wires on them also turn out worse than I expected, which is nice. They seem to be of high quality and I would happily buy them again but they give you so much I don't have to.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Vulgarity

22AWG cable can't handle more than 1A at 12V

Bought for a long list of targeted LED pixel projects. I would not recommend these pigtails for anything with significant current draw. If I had known the center conductor was 22AWG I would not have bought them. They work well for a short length of LED strip, maybe a meter. But with a strip of 300 LEDs, 5m long that I used at 3A, the pigtail got very hot. I confirmed with an infrared thermometer that the pigtail was >100F in a 68F room. Definitely not sure. I had to turn the brightness down…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
