Thank you Isabella from MoaM for reviewing this product. Your review has piqued my interest in trying this cleansing oil. My skin is oily, especially at the end of the day, so I'm hesitant to try an oil-based cleanser. It was also my first foray into the brave new world of Asian skincare. Before that, it was Cetaphil the Cleansing Cloth, or Tatcha's overpriced and flattering camellia cleansing oil, which, good as it is, is ridiculously expensive. Double cleaning WORKS! glowing skin. I have…

Be sure to use a water-based cleaner afterwards!

Very safe ingredients. Doesn't dry out the skin. Effectively removes makeup. Remember that when using cleansing oil, do not wet your face before applying the oil. You should massage the oil all over your face to melt all makeup first. Then apply some water to the emulsified cleansing oil and massage in for another 3 minutes. This step helps the product soften the blackheads, making them easier to fall out when you follow the exfoliating step. The only caveat is that you must use a water-based…

That's great.

Given the instructions and information in Japanese, I had to test this product myself through trial and error. Initially I used it like any other cleanser and didn't have the best results. I only put water in my hands to "lather" it but it doesn't lather at all. Then I tried applying it directly to a dry face and then rinsing it off with water. This method is definitely the way to go. You can feel wear, it's starting to dissipate around very oily areas [like my nose and forehead] I never in my…

I have been using Softymo for many years! Love it!

I discovered this product when I was in Japan as a military wife. I bought quite a lot of these before leaving to take with me and when it ran out I was so happy to find them in stock at Revain. although the price is slightly higher than that of imports. Products. It is applied to dry skin with a massaging motion, effortlessly removes dirt, oil and makeup (even lip stains and thick waterproof mascara), then massaged in with a little warm water, turning the product into a bluish-white skin milk…

Fantastic cleansing oil, no unnecessary scent

I love this oil as a first cleanse. I just ordered a replacement pack which is a very convenient and eco-friendly option. It completely dissolves all my makeup and leaves no greasy marks on my face. I'm sure you could even stop there and use it as your only cleanser if you wanted to! This is a great option for sensitive skin - no essential oils and unnecessary irritants!

Japan and USA and this is the best for me

I have tried many cleansing oils from Korea, Japan and USA and this is the best for me. It removes even the most stubborn mascara and eyeliner (Heroine Make, Amirite?) and unclogs pores without tightening the skin. Ideal.

Great price for a great cleansing oil

I have sensitive acne prone skin and started the double cleanse about a year ago. This is by far my favorite cleansing oil and I will keep buying it. I like it when there are supplies. It even removes long-wearing waterproof mascara and eyeliner and removes all my makeup without my skin feeling tight. Then I apply Hada Labo Gokujyun Cleanser and together they do the trick. Since using it, I've noticed a difference in my skin's condition: fewer breakouts and more moisture retention. Absolutely…

Good cleaning oil! in Cleaner

I love love love this product. I bought refills because I already have a bottle (with rice water). It works great with my waterproof mascara and daytime sunscreen. It takes about two puffs of this stuff simply because the surface area of my face is huge and to make sure I get everything. Likes it better than balm because it's not a mess. I think that's what I'll be using for a while. It goes away after I wash my face with Cerave. Doesn't pinch (I have sensitive areas on my face d/t from…

Buy me! praise me! tell your friends

If you haven't tried an oil cleaner before, this is a great place to start! Or if you've tried them and found them to feel heavy or uncomfortable. They are odorless and light. It takes a while. Removes my make-up quickly and gently. I can also fully open my eyes with it. Depending on how much makeup you wear, 2 pumps is probably perfect. Squeeze onto dry hands, apply to dry face and massage in to emulsify and dissolve anything you are wearing, then rinse well. The great thing is that you can…

**FOR THOSE WHO EXPERIENCE FULL FACE PUMPS AFTER OIL CLEANSING***

I am writing this in hopes of saving someone else from what I have been through with this cleanser SKIN - oily, dehydrated, clogged pores, maybe 1-2 pimples a month (if any). NOT SENSITIVE (not at all) I bought this to get the dirt out of my pores (blackheads on blackheads) and hopefully help my dehydrated skin. Here's what happened: Day 1: OCM for 5 min. Much dirt was removed from the pores. The skin looks great. Day 2: Use makeup remover before cleaning with water-based cleanser. The skin…
