A good basic set of shelves. They are light. But they seem well built. Assembly required, with four screws per shelf. The screws have a hex head, a hex wrench is included. When properly seated, the shelf is very stable and does not wobble. I am very happy with them. I needed a small set of thin shelves for the narrow passage between my bed and the bedroom wall. These worked great. Very functional.

I'm a bit narrow but perfect for the little corner at the back door. It's certainly not meant to place much weight on the top shelf unless you want to drill holes in the wall for support anchors. Some edges are slightly chipped due to the nature of the wood and the prefabrication of certain parts. It wasn't a problem because I could crank the best parts ahead. Based on the value and what you get for your money based on what else is out there I would still rate it pretty high.

Okay, I should have paid more attention to the actual measurements/sizes and not to trust the misleading ornate photos in this ad. Two of the three shelves had minor scratches when unpacking. The shelf itself was very easy and quick to put together, but I was disappointed when I put it together (especially myself for not paying attention to the dimensions. This shelf looks LOVELY over my toilet in my bathroom but it took me over 2.5 hours to assemble/hang on my wall with 3 people trying their best. While I don't consider myself an expert on this at all, the shelf was extremely difficult to align with the wall and the position of the screws on the back of the shelf weren't in the same place on the right and left, adding to the difficulty. In the end we did it and it was definitely worth it, but I have to say it took a lot of effort and patience…

Putting it together was easier than I thought it was and I really appreciate that it came with a small hex screwdriver so I didn't have to find my own. But hanging wasn't easy: you have to drive the screws into the wall and then slide the shelf open, which means screw placement needs to line up EXACTLY with the slots on the shelf's side rails. There is NO freedom of movement so you really need to place the screws accurately. If the instructions that came with the product were a few inches…

So I would give this item 5 stars minus the fact that this item is solid wood and requires PERFECT measurements when hanging. Bamboo Construction. Appears to be well built. The instructions say to wear gloves when assembling because bamboo naturally has splinters. I highly recommend you do this because guess who hasn't and gotten a nice thumb splitter? :) Once it's built, you don't have to worry about shards anymore. Daily use on your wall will not risk this.
