Sperry was a very good shoe.

Today's Sperry boot isn't the same quality as it used to be. I have had Sperrys for over 40 years. I ordered sea fish boat shoes to go on trips. I wore them for weeks to break them, couldn't do it. One boot had a leather bulge in the heel area that damaged the heel. I bought the same size as they were to be replaced but felt uncomfortable. I spent $100 on her. The quality isn't the same as previous Sperry's. They feel more like "skin" than leather. such a shame. They were smaller than the…

Best Pumps I've Ever Bought

There are a lot of negative reviews here about these Sperry Billfish 3 sneakers. All I can say is that they feel fantastic out of the box barefoot and in terms of construction indeed seem to be very durable. The side mesh panels don't have leather on the inside as one reviewer noted, they work and help keep things drier and more comfortable when not wearing socks. I suspect some of these reviewers are out of luck but my first impression is that these are quality boat shoes that are miles…

Best quality Not Sperry for men

Deck shoes should be a little loose but secure. This is their core. And they should be comfortable. The Margaritaville Anchor Line handled this very well, as did any decently broken-in Sperry. Not this one. I don't know if I'm just a bum, but since both the left and right have these issues, it seems systemic. The toe box is too centered and pointed, not in shape for a human foot. The length is correct, but the thumb rubs a lot on the side. on both legs. Arch support is much higher than usual…

Now they do cheap crap. This was to replace my 7 year old.

Sperry used to be the leader in boat shoes. Now they do cheap shit. This was to replace my 7 year old Bill Fish who wore like irons. every day in summer. on the boat. In the new version they have shabby leather, cheap laces and the wrong fit (narrow with a pointy toe). These used to be function boats. The new version even lacks the characteristic slurping caterpillars. Dangerous on a boat without one. So when you tie your pants, sip an IPA, hipsters in skinny jeans. those are your boat shoes…
