good product at a good price

the device works well - the only thing i didn't like was the plastic case. I'd happily pay another five dollars for the metal!

Pros
  • the best in its niche
Cons
  • some bugs

Had to change my rating

This was my outlet at home. Plugged it into a 15 amp GFI outlet and it turned off. If there is a difference of 11 mA between the wire and the neutral conductor, the socket is always switched off. But otherwise it's good

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not the best

Excellent quality switch

Manufactured braids so you can bypass the switch. Follow the instructions and use quality parts. The plastic box confuses me a little but it works fine. I just make sure it's ventilated. Been using it for 3 months now with no problems.

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Keep Silence

Mine makes a constant buzz when connected to shore power

I called and asked if there was anything that could be done about the buzzing. I assume the relays are the cheapest relays a manufacturer can get. But you know, the cost is also important to me.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons

Attention buyers.: Switch

So as soon as things go wrong. You can't seem to contact them. I can't find a way to contact them. Half of the switch is dead. Now I will check the warranty information. Perhaps they will contact me if they see this very disappointing review. I won't hold my breath

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • So-so

BAD! Destroyed devices.

After three switching operations, the neutral on the contractor's generator failed to pass current, resulting in a floating neutral scenario that destroyed $400 worth of equipment before realizing what was happening and shutting down the generator. I can prove with a voltmeter that it cannot connect. Now I'll see how Southwire lives up to its name.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Nothing Here

He does his job at Transfer Switches

. I wish he had instructions but they don't. I think you probably shouldn't install it unless you really know what you're doing. However, it's nice to see something that tells you you're right without having to scour the internet for it. When activated you may hear a loud click as it switches to ground or generator... not a problem, just an observation. Looks good and works as intended

Pros
  • . Enjoys
Cons
  • . Mostly good but...

Works perfectly! for generators and portable power supplies

Switching from shore power to indoor generator takes about 45 seconds so be patient. This allows the generator to warm up in a minute. Instantly shines when it switches back to shore power when you turn off the generator. There is a clicking sound when the generator turns on, so don't think it's broken or damaged, it's normal. I can't believe I waited a year before installing this. I will never own an RV again without installing one of these.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Protection
