Water Pressure Shower THY731 Japan Review

Although not adjustable, this is a great shower head. Powerful and lightweight, we bought a second one for our student to upgrade this shower. Very easy to install and comes with thread tape. At a good price.

This shower head is smaller than you can imagine, but it has incredible performance! We have had issues with low water pressure on the top floor of our apartment building for years. This great shower head solved all our problems. It's not trendy by any means, but it gets the job done.

I bought 2 TOTO hand showers. One of the threaded parts of the shower head where the shower head connects to the hose was not screwed on properly resulting in a leak in the attached area. The material/plastic of the thread does not match the thread. Since the shop will not be replaced, I had to throw it away.

so simple yet so effective. I recently spent 4 weeks in Japan where I discovered the tremendous benefits of high pressure showers. apparently there is no such low consumption nonsense in Japan as in the US. The plastic is soft enough that I could use a sewing needle clamped with pliers to open the holes a bit to increase flow. I now have a high pressure shower which has cured my horrible skin condition.

In the last 10 years I couldn't find a shower head that I liked. It seemed to everyone that they were standing under a jet of summer water. After some research I found out that about 10 years ago American manufacturers were forced to reduce their GPM to meet new federal regulations. Having lived in Japan and still visiting it, I've always liked the push of soul there. So I found this shower head from Toto (a world leader in toilets and a stable in Japan for plumbing. This shower head delivers amazing water pressure and makes showering on a cold day so much more enjoyable! I suspect that despite the increased pressure, it may actually save water. In my current house, the tap water gets very cold when the temperature drops to 30. Before I bought this shower head, on the days I washed my hair (had to wash my hair twice due to an oily scalp), the water would often get lukewarm towards the end of my shower.
