Shades of gray

I think I didn't read the description carefully enough. I was surprised and disappointed when I opened the package to find a package of bows in shades of grey, white and off-white mixed with some yellow and green. I hope my kids find a way to use this even though they aren't the color they are used to. Loops are loose and crumble. They look like the result of cutting off the sleeves of an old sweatshirt by an inch. keep in mind. I'm sure they have a use, but not for making colorful pot holders.

Pros
  • For crocheting and crocheting
Cons
  • Expensive

Huge size difference - most are too small to use

It wasn't what I expected. They don't work very well on a saddle loom because about 75-80% isn't long enough. After some stretching I was able to do some things, but a considerable part still didn't go to the small loom. I had to use these as they are not suitable for children. I love the feel of these so I was disappointed that they were too short. The color is pale, but at least as shown in the picture. I was more concerned with the material than the color. Just plan for a lot less usableโ€ฆ

Good strong loops

I order for my mother, who has recently become interested in making potholders. We tried ALL types of bows and she really appreciated them. They're really a little harder for her to work with because they don't stretch (and she has a bit of arthritis) and yes, some colors can be a bit bland, but the finished product makes up for it. After trying all kinds, the recipients of their potholder gifts decided that these were the best potholders. They just seem more scholarly, more substantial, andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The most popular for weaving potholders on the machine
Cons
  • I don't know exactly
