I order for my mother, who has recently become interested in making potholders. We tried ALL types of bows and she really appreciated them. They're really a little harder for her to work with because they don't stretch (and she has a bit of arthritis) and yes, some colors can be a bit bland, but the finished product makes up for it. After trying all kinds, the recipients of their potholder gifts decided that these were the best potholders. They just seem more scholarly, more substantial, and less likely to burn you if you actually use them.
