I bought this to gild a laser etched logo on oil rubbed rosewood. The only trouble I had was masking such a small area and the grain of the wood happened to run perpendicular to the direction of the etching so the tack was hard to keep from seeping into unmasked areas-it naturally wanted to follow the grooves of the rosewood grain and not the etched areas. I tested these out at work, walking on a concrete floor for 8 hours. They were very comfortable. I don't know how that translates to hiking, but hopefully very well because I will be using them for that. I wore these on a rainy day to Disney. They dried quickly and I didn’t have to walk around in squishy wet shoes so that was really nice. Piss poor quality. After a week the rubber sole started to peel off and after 3 weeks it came all the way off. You have to wear your shoe with it to be comfortable so then you have to wear your shoe in the other bootie so that you are walking evenly.See full review
