The new gamification system is finally here!
This brand new update is all about getting rewards for your activity.
Here are the most important things you need to know:
- Revain users get XP (experience points) for interacting with the platform
- Once you get enough XP - you level up!
- There are 6 levels, each brings new bonuses
- Authors also have the “promotion score”
- The higher this score - the higher are your chances of getting on the main page
- There are also new achievements and rules for getting the “Expert” status

Promotion Score
Every author gets an individual Promotion Score. The higher the score - the more likely your reviews are to get on the main page of Revain. This means that people are more likely to see it, read it, and generate rewards for you!
Levels
The new leveling system makes the rules easier and the rewards bigger. It’s all about winning.
There are 6 levels available for users. Every new user starts on the 1st level. This level provides access to all the important features of the platform:
- posting reviews
- updating reviews
- commenting on other reviews
- participating in the referral program
- giving likes and dislikes
Then active users start earning XP for posting reviews and updating their profile. When they get 400 XP - they level up and get bonuses. When they get another 400 XP - they level up again, etc. After reaching the 4th level, a user needs to earn 800 XP to get to the 5th level.
Once you reach the 5th level, you can try to get the highest “superlevel”, the 6th one. To do that, you need to earn 4000 XP.
Each time you level up, you get more opportunities to earn. Each level also provides specific status.
Level 1 - You get the “Novice writer” status.
Level 2 - Your rewards get 10% higher. You get the “Enthusiast” status.
Level 3 - You get the “Experienced” status.
Level 4 - You get the “Profi” status.
Level 5 - You get the “Sage” status.
Level 6 - You get the “Revainer” status and the special purple badge for your profile picture.
Keep in mind that all the older users keep their XP, yet their levels will be recalculated according to the new system.
Experts
Expert status has also been reworked. To get this advanced status, a user now needs to have at least 200 published reviews that generate or generated rewards.
All the current Experts will maintain their statuses in the new systems.
Activity tracker
In order to maintain their great results, reviewers need to stay active and post at least one review every month.
If a user does not post any reviews for 31 days straight, then on the 32nd day they lose 200 XP and might lose a level. For example, if you are Level 2 and have 580 XP and you don’t post for a long time - you will go down to Level 1 and 380 XP. Your promotion score will also become 10% less.
Experts lose their statuses if they do not post reviews for 2 months. To get the status back, they need to publish 2 new reviews.
Achievements
There are now new achievements that celebrate your successes! Each achievement is displayed in your profile, next to your name, for all to see.
There are achievements for posting reviews, for posting comments, and even for simply being active for a long time. Can you get them all?
