Here’s a great example of why reviews have to be free from censorship.
Yesterday Robinhood - the stock trading app - made many of its users upset by blocking several stocks and then automatically liquidating the positions of traders, selling their shares at low prices. Upset users rushed to Google Play Store and published a lot of negative reviews with 1-star ratings.
But then Google just removed over 100,000 negative reviews. The app's rating went from 1.0 to 4.2.

Regardless of anyone’s opinions of the recent events in the stock market, this blatant biased censorship should never happen. Users were rightfully upset and had every right and reason to express their dissatisfaction.
