I believe IOTA won't be the currency that you or I will use in the supermarket…

I believe IOTA won't be the currency that you or I will use in the supermarket in the future. Instead it will be the one that is invisible, working in the background powering our self-driving cars, running the roller coasters at the theme parks of the future, or accessing raw weather data in a country across the globe. If the team can continue to build on their partnerships and forward-thinking mentality, this could hold a top-5 spot for the next 10 years.

Pros
  • IOTA stands to be a major force in the future as society continues to dive further and further into the Internet of Things. IOTA was the first Direct Acyclic Graph (DAG) cryptocurrency, introducing true fee-less transactions. The Tangle, which IOTA is built upon, gets faster the more people use it. The Tangle is being considered for a number of decentralized applications ranging from file storage to VPN services.
Cons
  • IOTA is still a very new currency, and there are limited uses for it as of this moment. The CEO, David, also has had his share of negative publicity lately due to lack of communication and no-BS attitude. There have been a number of problems with the official wallet and there is yet to be a user-friendly way of storing IOTA. There have also been a few attacks on the Tangle where many empty transactions were able to grind transaction processing to a near halt.

Since our world will soon depend on the Internet of Things , especially in the near future, a project like IOTA is much needed, because they are trying to establish a infrastructure for IoT.

Pros
  • The tangle technology sounds like the Tesla of the blockchains. IOTA has made good friends in the world of big companies and gathered a great team around them.
Cons
  • I think the wallet and the way to use it is still their weak point. I hope the upcoming Trinity Wallet will change that!

Not ready for prime time. It's just amazing to me how this one is a top ten cryptocurrency. Hard to see it running properly on a cordless drill or a solar panel.

Cons

I think that the idea is great, but need more information of the process, and also it need to be sure about the way of put the money in my wallet, because if they don't ensure a stability of your currency I prefer to buy things habitually.
