We use one as an extra fridge and bought the other as an extra freezer. If you buy two smaller ones, you won't have a very heavy one either. Hubby installed extra DC outlets for them. Very quiet and easy to use, keeps the right temperature. This model has a Bluetooth app for your phone to alert you if the temperature isn't holding. Cools down really fast.

This freezer worked great on a 2 week trip, connected to a backup battery charged via the trailer wiring. The temperature difference is about 4 degrees. This little cooler works best with something inside to dissipate heat (cold) vertically, otherwise the bottom of the well will be much colder than the top. I used a reusable hard ice pack as the contents I kept in the cold didn't conduct much.

This is a really good fridge for camping or car trips. The original text didn't mention this, but for the K18 there is an app you can download that lets you connect your phone or tablet via Bluetooth and control and set up the fridge without having to stop and change settings with the controller. I connected Alpicool to 12 V of my solar system. Allowed. I tried to build according to the instructions. The only bulb left on was "on". I try to follow the instructions, I think I have F, I think it still says max even though I wanted Eco and couldn't get it to stay on it. I have an older Goal Zero Yeti 400 and a solar array in a self contained cabin.
