My family loves it!

My kids love it (ages 5-12). We have three sizes. This is her favorite size. This is the second time I've gotten it for one of my kids, she loves it. (The first pavilion was hit by a hurricane and has multiple holes that won't keep all living creatures in it.) After we hatch and release the butterflies, this pavilion is used for all kinds of living creatures. My kids put everything in the gazebo from flying insects to toads. If you want your kids to explore nature outdoors, they will enjoy it…

So fun and educational for both kids and adults

Bought this for my family and also as a gift and it's always a hit! I have also bought just caterpillars several times and each time we have six caterpillars that turn into beautiful butterflies. I would advise buying caterpillars during the warmer months so you can eventually release them. This will make it more fun and festive. Once we got it in the winter months so we had to keep the butterflies until they died. Nothing particularly tragic, but the kids were a little sad when they saw the…

You will receive a plain white box - not at all like the photo

I don't know the product myself, but the box doesn't look like the photo at all. it was a perfectly plain white box with "Insect Knowledge" printed on it in black letters. nothing for the child or others to see what's inside. this might sound like a small problem, especially when the content is ok, but imagine you had no idea what a "butterfly pavilion" is and got this. you would stare into space. ruined my ability to send it as a gift as intended. not to mention the misleading photo of the…

She loves it! Best in Habitat

We bought this as a Christmas present for our preschool granddaughter. The box contains a hanging mesh cage to place caterpillars that will eventually turn into butterflies, and a certificate that must be mailed in order for live caterpillars to be placed in the cage. Her parents only sent for caterpillars a few days ago, so we have no results (except that her homeroom teacher had a caterpillar that worked very well). She will closely observe the cycle from caterpillar to butterfly and will be…

Charming! suitable for training and education

My family loved observing the life cycle of the Painted Lady Butterfly! The kit arrived quickly and I was able to activate my Caterpillar certificate online to save even more time. I bought a large gazebo because it had 10 caterpillars instead of 5. Unfortunately, when the caterpillar cups arrived, only 3 out of 10 were alive. Each cup contained a large, adult caterpillar, and one cup contained a small, black-spotted caterpillar. The rest of the little black caterpillars didn't move like dots…
