Description of 🧲 Optimizing Magnet Annealed Spool Diameter Length for Enhanced Performance

Magnet wire with copper core for energy efficiency and resistance to corrosion. Polyurethane insulation base layer has a thermal rating of H (155 degrees C/311 F). Polyamide (nylon) insulation top layer to help resist solvents and abrasions. Solderable insulation for creating electrical connections at the ends without stripping off the insulation. Single poly nylon (SPN) thickness for conductivity and maximum winding in compact areas.

Works great

This magnet wire is well wound, very thin and has good conductivity, ideal for electromagnets, voice coils etc. This is my first time with magnet wire and have Have used this product on several projects and it has worked great. My only complaint is that the wire is difficult to strip by heating or scraping. Remember that when not in use, the end of the spool must be tightened with a piece of tape or similar to keep the spool from unwinding.

Pros
  • Polyurethane insulating base layer is heat class H (155 deg C/311 F)
Cons
  • old

Good Magnet Wire

Oh, how my heart flutters; this wire both flattered and despised me. It was very difficult to find the ending. It's such a thin wire that it's impossible to see. It's wrapped in cling film and the wire is very thin, so it wasn't easy to cut the wrapper without cutting the wire. However, once I open it up, it really does conduct electricity like a master as it claims. The small thickness makes it ideal for housing a large number of packages in a compact space.

Pros
  • Solvent and Abrasion Resistant Polyamide (Nylon) Top Coat
Cons
  • Doubtful

The wire is fine, VERY badly wound on the spool.

If you need long lengths of this wire to make a coil I would be very reluctant to buy it. We bought this for my son's science project to make a large coil and the wire didn't wind onto the spool very well. I should have been suspicious because the coil was tightly wound on one end and loose on the other. There were kinks and kinks in the wire so as it unwound the kinks caught the loose layers underneath and made a huge mess. We need to order more but it's weekend so it will take a few days…

Pros
  • Solder insulation to make electrical connections at the ends without stripping
Cons
  • Long delivery time
