Maxpedition MXTSALOCB BRK Tactical Luggage Lock Review

Great zippers for high quality tactical bags. They may not withstand forced entry with standard cutting tools, but will withstand scissors. The purpose of these locks is to prevent strangers from entering certain pockets in your bag. They offer more privacy. They are elegant and go well with tactical bags. I give them 4 stars!

I was expecting the lock cable to withstand standard TSA gorillas but they bent the cable at the entry point to the lock mechanism and now it's almost impossible to lock use . The numbers on the dials are almost impossible to see because they're coated in a transparent varnish, which doesn't effectively let you see what combination is currently lined up. Also, the dials are shown on both sides, so make sure to only look at the side with the Maxpedition logo, otherwise you might get a little…

Great little lock. Easy to use and combo set. It won't protect you from a pair of wire cutters, but it will protect you from someone spying or trying to steal your bag. What I don't understand is why they call this foliage green. This thing is grey. This is the exact same gray color as the gray zippers on all AGR gear marked as gray. I didn't buy this lock for luggage but for a hard walled box used to transport an expensive and heavy lens. I wasn't worried about a lock to deter theft as I figured someone would just take the tool box (but I guess that goes for luggage too) although it might be of value if left in the motel room, to prevent honest people from looking inward. out of curiosity and then succumbed to temptation.
