Great product! about outdoor sports and games

Gave this to my 28 month old son (2 years 4 months for those who hate it!) for Christmas. He loves to! He actually dropped it today in the fall. It bounced off the linoleum and hit the entertainment center. I was sure it wouldn't work after that, but it still works! Requires 2 AA batteries, very easy for parents to open even without a screw but tricky for kids :) not too heavy but seems very durable and my son turns it on and off very easily with the push of a button. We both love it!

Pros
  • Six stroller legs for a round body to sit stably on flat surfaces
Cons
  • Something different

It is not worth! suitable for outdoor sports and games

I bought it for Christmas to pack I decided to put batteries. Glad I did. Pretty difficult to insert batteries. After inserting and assembling, the flash did not work. So I had to take it apart again, when I checked the batteries which were fine I found that when you screw the cap back on the light flickers when half on but not when full on . It's just not worth the hassle, and if it's ready to go right out of the box, how reliable will this flashlight be? Didn't even try the other one just…

Pros
  • Large colorful flashlight in the shape of a charming beetle
Cons
  • Reliability

Met with 2-year-old; Excellent purchase!

My little one loves his flashlight. He carries it around the house and uses it to find toys under the bed and in the closet. He even wants to turn off the lights for the duration of the story so he can use his flashlight. This is the perfect size for a toddler. The on/off button is easy to use and not overly bright unlike others I've seen. The battery compartment and lamp compartment are locked with a screw so a child cannot access them. Opening it to access the batteries and bulb is a bit…

Pros
  • Integrated comfort handle with switch
Cons
  • Available in white only

Too bright, best for outdoor sports and games

I don't like that the light is LED! I bought this toy thinking it would be a safe toy for my 2 year old. But unfortunately too bright. Of course, the child will naturally draw the light into his eyes. So I shone it into mine and was practically blind for three seconds. I tried painting the outside of the lens with a black permanent marker to darken it and it didn't work. I even went as far as trying to take the lamp housing out to see if I could replace the lamp or tape the inside of the lens…

Pros
  • A great gift for 3-7 year old kids to play without screen
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Very thin, feels cheap, doesn't last long

I really wanted to get my grandson an 'old school' Playskool flashlight but they don't make it anymore. It was the closest flashlight I could find. I am so disappointed with how thin the plastic is and how light it is. I figured it would break when you put the batteries in (which is a bit tricky btw). I'll give it to him, but it's not good for a child. I'm pretty sure it will break if it falls to the ground. I also had to add battery instructions for his mom and dad because it was never easy to

Pros
  • 2 AA batteries not included
Cons
  • Expensive

We'll send it back

I'm surprised to say this about Melissa and Doug's item, but this flashlight is cheap junk. We'll send it back. Melissa and Doug are very popular with our family and we have always found their products to be of good quality, but not in this case. Luckily I opened the flashlight to put the batteries in before packing it up for Christmas. I put the batteries in, turned it on to test it, and it turned on right away...in less than a second. I turned it off and on again with the same result. I…

Pros
  • Big colorful flashlight in adorable bug shape
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
