The bottom is non-slip so it remains stable when using the machine. There's plenty of room in the bag to grab litter and a strong elastic strap keeps it in place. Practical tool for my serger. The pad on the bottom fitted well, I didn't even think about the vibration noise from my car as I've only used it with this mat so far. The collection bag works so well that I don't have to think about it, and it's also a great place to toss thread scraps when I'm finishing my clothes.
