Completely satisfied, stores well

This item arrived on time and in perfect condition. I already have one and was concerned it might break and in the past it has been harder to find this particular item at a reasonable price. This works great and is worth the money.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • I will add later

It's a real plug and play!

Unpacked. I clicked its little stand and plugged it into the USB port on the back of my computer, placed it next to the left side of the computer and it fit perfectly in the small space I had for it. The stand has REALLY sticky feet that keep it in place. The drive stays in place when you insert a disk, and the dedicated button makes it easy to eject. The computer recognized the drive immediately and I had no software conflicts with it.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Nothing

does the job

This is a 3.5 inch USB floppy disk drive. I did this because my mom needs it for work and her new desktop and laptop no longer have those drives. (Thank goodness). It can lie horizontally or on its side, but works best flat as it won't move and push the drive in or out. The main reason I bought this particular drive is because it has a Interchangeable blue or white gloss plastic top and gray base with gloss white top to match your desktop and Dell laptop.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models

I need it floppy disks and tapes

I've been looking for it for a while. There were old 1.44 floppy disks that I wanted to put in my XP computers. the new ones no longer had a floppy drive and worked as they should.

Pros
  • Quick replacement
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

worth your money!

I recently discovered that I have some files that were still on the floppy and that my new computer does not have a 5.5 inch floppy drive. The name I trust. The changeable colors are nice and the always-on USB cable is very convenient. Some other companies don't even include a USB cable. Just plug it in and it works. It even shows up as your "A" drive! How cool is that?!

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Sad hardware

What to do with all those old floppy disks?

I recently needed a floppy disk drive. I needed access to a file that was on an old 3.5 inch floppy disk. Somehow I never bothered to put it on CD. This little portable drive saved the day! If you're using XP or Vista, simply plug the drive into an available USB port and you're good to go. Both my laptop and desktop recognized the drive immediately. It's a 2X drive, so it reads and writes fast. The drive comes with a stand so you can mount it either horizontally or vertically on your desk. It…

It's cool!: Computers and accessories

I have a Vaio with XP2. This USB floppy drive installs in seconds - no need to search for drivers or anything else. I put in a disk and she read for the first time. I use it to archive photos taken with a 1999-2001 Sony Mavica to an external USB hard drive. I like its small size so I can slip it in my gear box and keep it clean until the next time I need to transfer old floppy files to the latest technology. Definitely worth buying.

Pros
  • Floppy and tape drives
Cons
  • Not bad

does what it takes

This is a 3.5" USB floppy disk drive. I did this because my mom needed it for work and her new desktop and laptop don't have these drives anymore (thank god for that) It can be laid horizontally or on its side, but it works better in a horizontal position as it won't move and push the disc in or out.The main reason I bought this particular drive is because it's made from removable blue or white glossy plastic top, and the gray base with a glossy white top matched their desktop and Dell laptop.

Pros
  • data storage
Cons
  • slightly dented
