Bad design. The mounting plate is unthreaded, it is formed when the screws are first installed, and it is very easy to remove the metal.

Poor quality hardware. I replaced my latest hardware with it and it fixed it temporarily. It's just a bad design from Subaru, after that one fails I'll go to the aftermarket.

This is a fitting kit only needed as the self tapping plate is soft aluminum and threads will loosen over time. The plate in this kit is already accessible.

I bought this product to replace a broken adapter for my original mirror. This product was easy to install. There are many videos on the internet showing how to use this spare part when needed.

Easy to install (just drive in the screws with an electric/pneumatic screwdriver/drill. Comes with all the necessary brackets to repair a broken mirror replace This is still the main base that attaches to the windshield.
