Enhanced signal, easy installation

My husband and I recently moved and had terrible signal problems. He has AT&T and I have Verizon and we both dropped our calls multiple times. Most of the time our phones didn't even ring because the signal was very weak. I admit the EZ4G is a bit pricey but I need a strong cell phone signal because I work from home and use my cell phone as my work phone. I thought the installation would be more complicated, but as the box says, it was "plug and play". You literally just put an amplifier (aโ€ฆ

I finally found what works for me

WHY I WAS SEARCHING FOR THIS TYPE OF DEVICE: I live in a remote rural area where only incredibly slow DSL or satellite is used to access the Internet. I have a Sprint MiFi Hotspot (Franklin Wireless r850) with unlimited internet, but the signal in my house is spotty at best. I received the average measured RSSI value of -82 dB when the access point was in the best place in my house. This allowed (again measured on average) 2.5 Mbit/s down and 1.6 Mbit/s out (compared to my old AT&T DSL with 1.3

Pros
  • Reduces lost and missed calls and extends battery life for multiple cellular devices.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

May work well at least as in my case

The layout of the device is more problematic than its actual placement. Finding a satisfactory solution for good reception and the required 25-30 foot distance from the base station in a small apartment can be problematic. For a 1-room apartment or an apartment limited to one floor, a ready-made solution may not even be suitable. Next you need to figure out how to lay a coaxial cable if there is a staircase, corridor or room threshold when laying the cable. Assembling the antenna and baseโ€ฆ
