DEXs servers are usually spread around the world. This is different from centralized exchanges which usually make their servers more dense. This spread out of servers carries less risk of server downtime. This means that the DEXs are virtually resistant to attack. This is because if you take out one of the servers, it makes no difference to the server network as a whole.

But if you manage to access a server in exchange for centralization, you can do a lot more damage.

Cons
- Usually it has an order book with less fluidity than the centralized parts and if you lose the password it is probably lost forever.
