Makes more of a snap or crackle than a pop, probably because it's a different type or grade of material than the standard stuff that works. I love these boots. They are comfortable and cute! I ordered them because I needed a pair of shoes for work. I wanted non slip but also good looking since I didn't want to have to spend money on shoes that I wasn't going to use after I was done with my internship as a student aid in a kitchen at school. tl;dr: Size up if you need to, the ankle strap will keep it on your foot, but the shoe itself does run large. That (secure ankle strap, wide enough toe box while keeping the toe pointed) and the block heel make these shoes extremely comfortable.I almost NEVER review anything, but this was good enough that I had to. Was trying to install front axles but one of the mounting areas wasn’t drilled through all the way causing my screws to snap like a twig, mounted everything off the vehicle made sure it went in straight everything. I purchased a large, in black (shorter length) and navey blue (above knee length). im 5'3 about 190lbs. i got a tummy :( and a plump butt :) . fits amaaaaaaazing. the cotten is so comfortable and the spandex keeps the shorts fitted, hugging, and lifting my good curves :) but the waistband around the top of the shorts is wide and durable to hold in my tummy and luv handles right in place without shifting or being annoyingly too tight. I've had this case for 1.5 years, and except for the few scratches my earrings have made to the screen protector, it still looks almost brand new. I've only experienced VERY minor wear on the edges of the front panel where my thumbs are constantly touching when texting. The rubber bumper still fits snugly and the charging port seal still fit securely in place. I have dropped my phone a number of times and expected the worst but it's always come out unscathed.
