First, the magnets are strong. I used these to hang up curtains in my sidelites of my door. My sidelights are 9.5 inches wide. When taken out of box, from end of magnet including pole to other magnet is 10.5 inches so they are too long to fit my window. Box says fits 9". Note The pole consists of 2 rods with one that slides into the other. In order to fit my door less than 10.5", I had to get rid of the outer pole and attach the inner pole to each magnet holder. Bought this to hang over our back and side steel doors, over the window panel. The actual magnet ends that go on the door is great (saw complaints of it being TOO strong and paint chips, but not the case for me- don't have PAINTED steel doors, more like stained colour coats). I got these for my front and back doors, both of which are steel, to reduce the sun coming through the windows as the inevitable price for electric jumps this summer. I have a 64” blackout panel hanging on the one and the rod doesn’t budge. Great item. Got another set at big lots but the quality wasn’t as nice as these. They can also be used as additional towel racks, for instance on a fridge door.

These are so easy to use. Just keep in mind there are two sizes of the magnetic ends. Two go on the smaller end of the rod and the two have a large hole to accommodate the larger end of the rod.They stay in place and look great!

I'm using these for my two kitchen doors. It's summer and the sunshine adds a lot of heat. I don't want to deface my doors by drilling holes in them and so these things work great. *Chunk!* It's ON THERE. Perfect.

I ordered these knowing that they were held up with magnets. I removed the magnets, flipped the magnet tray around and attached them using 3M Command strips and they work perfectly.

I admit the rods are really pretty, and I used them to put up one panel of the biscotti opaque door curtain that is 74" long, so the panel is not heavy. I decided not to use the belt because each time I tried? The top rod hit me in my head as I am wheelchair-bound. As stated, the magnet affixes to the door well, but it wouldn't stay in the holder. Currently the rod is just kind of hanging off of the magnet.

These magnetic rods serve their purpose. They stick to the whiteboard well but they don't extend very far. I use them to display the date in my classroom. I have to extend them to their max which makes the whole contraption not very sturdy. If you're changing the date and nudge it just right, the whole thing falls.
