I had to make a few adjustments after using it out on the water a few times. The # 1 thing is how you tie down the front! I had to really tighten down the front elastic tie down & add 2 additional tie down cords (not elastic) that went from the front to each side of the kayak. This gave me 3 tie downs in front, that kept the sunscreen from acting like a wind sail! Even a very light breeze lifted the sunscreen! Like any calming treatment, it may not work for every dog. The Thundershirt was ineffective so we decided to add this calming collar and it also did nothing. Our dog has short hair and we tried to make it reasonably tight in order to have his body heat activate the collar per the instructions, but after a few weeks, there was no change in his anxiety.
