Like any calming treatment, it may not work for every dog. The Thundershirt was ineffective so we decided to add this calming collar and it also did nothing. Our dog has short hair and we tried to make it reasonably tight in order to have his body heat activate the collar per the instructions, but after a few weeks, there was no change in his anxiety. Might work for other dogs. At least the return policy is generous.
