Review on Griots Garage 10493 Rinseless Fluid_Ounces by William Mahajan

Super smooth and pleasant smell

There is no shortage of no-flush car washes these days. Optimum has long been considered the gold standard, but other big names like Griots, Adams, KarPro, etc. have stepped into the ring. Decided to give this a try after using ONR for the past two years, basically curious if it cleans better or maybe has some other magical property I hadn't thought of. My overall impression is that this product is slippery than ONR when used at the recommended dilution level. It was immediately apparent that my microfiber cloth glided effortlessly over the finish on every panel I cleaned. Impressive, but that doesn't mean the ONR was significantly worse. The cleaning power seems to be on par with ONR, but I would never use any of these products to clean a dirty car. I use them for weekly touch ups to remove dust and water stains. This is not a blow to the Griot product. It works great for these scenarios and I had no trouble flushing the panel again. I prefer the scent of this product over ONR. While ONR has a more chemical or soapy smell, this stuff smells like cheap car wash soap, which is pretty funny. Given the price premium it has over the ONR, I see no reason to use it unless it's for sale. Sure, it's slippery and smells better than ONR, but that doesn't justify the 30-50% price premium. Does a more slippery surface mean fewer potential scratches? Possibly, but then again, ONR hasn't been a problem in that area. I think Griot's could compete with ONR for their money if they drop the price a bit as the Griot name has a lot of prestige. The problem is that ONR is considered the leader in no-rinse washing, so it'll take a miracle product or something far more profitable to topple them.
