Review on PT Auto Warehouse ILC-329L - High-Performance Ignition Lock Cylinder with Keys by Chris Hernandez

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Replacement of the original without problems.

Fits, works, what else do you need? Note that Haynes manuals are often missing key instructions for removing the steering column shroud to gain access to the old cylinder exhaust access hole. And to remove the old cylinder non-destructively, you must have a matching key and the old cylinder must be able to rotate to its original position. As long as you fix these issues, replacing them is usually a minimal tool task. Last but not least, the process of reprogramming a car to accommodate a new key can be time-consuming at best. (There is a shortcut of cutting the chipless key to match the old one if you have two old keys with different ship codes to start with. But following the 30 minute procedure will still work.)

Pros
  • Ignition parts
Cons
  • Update available
