This is my first time using a ring light so I have no comparison but it works. It has more than one light setting, e.g. B. warm light and cold light. You can increase and decrease the light. The color is nice and I like the fact that it's foldable. Instructions weren't very clear, had to look for the USB port on the ring during quiet times to find it, it's in a hidden location. You could explain the instructions in more detail with some helpful illustrations. You will need an AC adapter to plug the cord into an outlet as it is not included. The height can be adjusted. looks more professional and I used it again for my birthday as it's easier to use the remote yourself than to have someone take your picture. However, the problem I've noticed at night is that the ring light isn't enough to create the desired lighting effect unless you're very close, so there needs to be more than a few bright lights around. That's just my observation. All in all a good buy that can be used in many ways, whether for large-scale interviews, birthdays, Instagram, vlogs or TikTok.
