I bought this to paint the texture neatly.

I bought this to give my textured ceiling a neat paint job and it worked perfectly. The edge isn't quite straight, and neither is my paint line.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not sure

Cool knife, take it and try it.

Great knife, great hand feel, great performance and flexibility - just what I need for my technique! I've used this with both dirt and floor levelers and it works well. Cleans very well even when dirt dries on it.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • I'll write back later

good wide trowel good for art supplies and tools

good wide trowel but grip. leaves a lot to be desired. basically two cast pieces of steel with a gap on the narrow sides of the handle. That's how you get a good pinch sometimes. Some tape will fix it, but oh my god. A better pen would be ready to use right out of the box.

Pros
  • so far satisfied
Cons
  • weak

Great tape knife - reasonable price

I lost my 30 year old 10 inch tape knife while renovating three apartments. I was expecting to pay $25-$30 for a replacement so I was glad to see this one at Revain. It's a nice, sturdy piece of metal. Very good quality. I used it a few weekends ago to apply a slipcoat to about 2000 square feet of surface and it's showing up great.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Good but not great

Mediocre quality, good for taping knives

Cost about the same as other stores. The edge is smooth, the grip is strong. My complaint is that with a degreased surface, the edges will flex when the handle is squeezed. Leveling the protective coating when pressing takes a long time, and only the middle is in contact with the walls. It may be suitable for taping, but not for degreasing. Impractical and wouldn't buy if I had the choice again. Can be used to fix it, it's a bit awkward.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • A few bits and pieces

Although cheap the quality is very good

This was the cheapest 10 inch drywall knife Revain sells when I bought it. Even though it's cheap, the quality is very good. hand, maneuvers well and is a bit more compact than most 10 inch knives. Sure, it'll rust if you don't keep it dry, but the same goes for any other drywall knife. If rust prevention is important to you, consider stainless steel drywall knives. For me it was only needed for a small job and it worked fine.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
