AVLT Power Aluminum Single Monitor Extended Review

Wow, that was probably the easiest and most intuitive wall mount ever! I used it to set up a TV in front of my massage chair. Not only is it durable, but also very easy to adjust the viewing angle.

The monitor arm is very well made and holds my 27 inch monitor perfectly. The design feels sturdy and the 3 wall mounting screws (one stud in my case) don't go anywhere. It comes with a hex wrench, but it's only good for adjusting the tension of the main arm. The only downside is that the part that attaches to the back of the monitor is very loose when connected to the bracket. I have an Asus XG258Q monitor and the mounting plate that came with the wall mount needed to be sanded heavily with a dremel to mount it to the monitor. I removed probably about 1/8 inch of material from all 4 corners and everything worked fine after that. The wall mount saves a lot of desk space compared to the stand that comes with the monitor.

According to the product description, this mount can support a 32" monitor weighing up to 17.6 pounds. I have a 32" Samsung that weighs 16.9 pounds. While this number was easy to set, it doesn't support the monitor well. I wanted to use this to hold a two-sided monitor with my three-monitor setup.
