Does the job in auto electronics accessories

I was upgrading my stereo and needed to keep my On-Star, phone and turn signals working. Unfortunately you have to buy the relay, extra speaker and push button switch separately if you want to control the volume. For this money they should all be there as the part is a small box with cables and connectors. The instructions were clear and easy to understand and now everything works perfectly.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Fits 2011 HHR

I bought this hoping this model number would fit a 2011 HHR. It was said to run through the 2009 model year. I work and my OnStar works great. I had to call tech support with a question about a plug that wasn't being used as the instructions were very vague. They were complete idiots and I almost started yelling at the technician. But everything is fine. A great option to order if you have a radio with navigation.

2009 Pontiac G5 - with onstar

Works well. Installed Pioneer AHV-X3800bhs. The instructions are general and you had to rely on the attached schematic to understand everything. A few wires needed to be plugged in (not used) but for the most part all connections were color to color. The doorbell and turn signals work, but the volume is very low and can be mistaken for non-working. Onstar's features are excellent, although I've only tested it (not the subscriber). I didn't have to cut any wires in the car to keep all the…

Problem. in car AV installation

Connected. There is no current on the auxiliary line. All cables disconnected, reconnected, tested, connections soldered. Still no food. This got the wiring into the fuse box. It's sad to see that such an expensive product has such a problem. Your alarm will also turn off. There is no indication that this product will do that. Auto lock and delay lock still work. But the 'Security' indicator on the dash now never lights up, and when you open the door, the alarm no longer sounds. 3 months after…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not the best

Outrageous price for Halfassery. But you have no choice but to buy it!

This unit was the only option and a must to hook up a new radio to my '08 HHR. Unfortunately not well thought out and not fully functional. Pros: * It supports On-Star. * It allows the radio to interact with the factory seat belts. * It supports ringing when the doors open/light up/put the keys in the ignition. Bad: * DOES NOT SUPPORT turn signal "click" signal without EXTRA resistor that needs to be purchased separately! Forgive me but I expect EVERYTHING to work for the price of this item! *…

  • Great for a small home

  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
