Great printer when it works. It goes into "offline" mode for weeks for no reason. Does not work well with direct USB connection. The ink is cheaper than HP. My HP 3-in-1 printer is older, more expensive to run, but reliable. This printer usually lets me down. It is designed to work wirelessly. When it started disconnecting I thought I had signal issues so I put it in the same room as the router. It didn't help. It doesn't even have a function where I can connect a LAN cable. It's wireless and…

No problems so far - hope it stays that way

I had an Epson monoblock that I liked, but my printers are only at home for occasional printing. The black Epson cartridge was empty so I bought a genuine Epson cartridge which the printer didn't recognize. Complained to Epson and sent a new one. When the printer emptied the nozzles, my color cartridges were low on ink. Deciding this was some kind of Epson trick, I decided not to use the manufacturer's expensive cartridges. Epson is a boat anchor when there are few cartridges. It won't do…

Buyer's remorse! - Printer

I have such buyer scruples with this printer. #1 - It won't let you complete a print job once it registers that one of the inks is "Low". On previous printers I was always able to print until I realized the machine had run out of ink. #2 - I got a message from the device that a firmware update is required and press #1 to continue. During the update I am asked to confirm something with the color ink that the device requires and next I know that the ink for the device has been ordered and shipped

Great printer, SLOW PRINTING PROBLEM SOLVED

Great printer for home use. It was easy to set up and works well with my Mac and my wife's Windows 10 Surface Pro. FOR THOSE OF YOU WITH SUPER SLOW PRINTING PROBLEMS: I had this problem too when I first set it up on my wife's PC. The pages print out in about a minute and a half. I found that this was because Windows used a universal printer driver that seemed to convert all print jobs to JPEG image files before sending them to the printer. The printer sees the JPEG image and prints it very…

Pros
  • Ideal for small homes
Cons
  • Great price

Installation: Installation was pretty easy for me. If you can follow the instructions step by step, this shouldn't be a problem for you. I tried the automatic wifi setup first, which initially didn't connect (but I think it might have been a problem with my router, not the printer in this case). Following the manual Wi-Fi setup instructions worked flawlessly and got me up and running. There's a direct connection option with a USB cable, but I bought it partly for its wireless capabilities, so I

Great performance, SLOW PRESSURE!

EDIT 10-6-2016: So I think I've solved the slow printing issue on this printer. It was a printer port. Apparently, the new WSD port technology can be used with some operating systems on newer printers. I felt this was causing my slow typing issues detailed below, and of course I was right. I switched the port to a standard TCP/IP port (Wi-Fi network printing) and what used to take 1 minute per page now takes 10 seconds for 2 pages! I've since changed my rating from 3 to 5 stars. I think it's a…
